Somehow journalists and writers seem to feel a need to resort to that concept as they try to report on what they observe in the world around them. So it might be useful to explore the origins and the meaning(s) of that term and concept by reading and discussing at least some of the texts that have shaped and reshaped the Faust legend over the last five centuries or so. Read more Old Lady on the Trail: Triple Crown at 76 Author Mary Davison Friday, March 6 @ 6:00pm Author Mary Davison delivers an informative and amusing rendition of her experiences in long distance hiking, which she discovered at the young age of 60. Hiking’s “Triple Crown” consists of the Appalachian Trail (2,181 miles), the Continental Divide Trail (3,100 miles), and the Pacific Coast Trail (2,650 miles.) Starting in 2003 Mary was a novice, hiking long sections of the U.S. National Scenic Trails. In 2012 she started on the Continental Divide Trail, finally completing all three in 2017 at the age of 76. New Location . On the west side, in Deer Harbor: you can find the book drop in front of the Deer Harbor Community Club. At the Orcas ferry landing: the book drop sits in front of the Cottage Gift Shop on Orcas Road. The book drops are checked and emptied on a weekly basis.
